⚡ ChatGPT revenue, not just traffic16 AI assistants tracked28-day free trial

Your analytics knows it came from ChatGPT.
It doesn’t know what it earned.

GA4 labels the session, then loses the visitor. SourceTrack keeps the assistant attached from first visit to the Stripe charge — with a channel row your ad platform will never produce.

Detection Engine

True referral attribution. Zero scraper noise.

Most analytics tools treat AI search engines and scraper bots as 'Direct' traffic, inflating visitor counts and polluting conversion data. SourceTrack filters noise and segments AI search engine traffic automatically.

Classify AI Referrals

Automatically identify and attribute traffic originating from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity web-search lookups, turning 'Direct' traffic back into clear campaigns.

Customer journeys

One customer. Six touchpoints.
Six sources trying to take credit.

Scrub through a full customer journey: a ChatGPT referral, a Perplexity double-check, branded search, a LinkedIn retargeting click, a Claude session that produced the form fill, and the Stripe charge that closed it. Lead source tracking that survives the whole path — so you can stop letting ad platforms self-grade.

Multi-touch attribution, in action.

Four surfaces that answer four different questions — who is on the site right now, where the revenue came from, which assistants are sending buyers, and what one customer actually did.

Lead source tracking for every kind of conversion.

Measure

Nine attribution models. One dataset underneath.

Attribution arguments are usually model arguments in disguise. First touch, last touch, first non-direct, last non-direct, linear, position-based, W-shaped and time decay — this is the same $21,430 of recorded revenue from the demo workspace above, credited eight different ways, nothing re-tagged and nothing re-collected. A ninth model, AI engine credit, isolates AI-assisted conversions rather than re-splitting the same total, so it is not one of the tiles here.

126 conversions · 6 channels · Jul 4 – Aug 2, 2026

Credit goes to the first recorded touch. Discovery channels look strongest.

Credit goes to the final touch before the conversion, which inflates Direct.

Same as first touch, but Direct never takes credit — it is redistributed to the channels that earned the visit.

The last identifiable channel before the conversion. Direct drops out entirely.

Every touch on the path shares the credit equally, so assist channels surface.

40% to the first touch, 40% to the last, the rest spread across the middle.

First touch, the qualifying milestone and the last touch each take a share.

Touches closer to the conversion take more credit than early ones.

Credit is weighted toward the assistant and answer-engine touches in the path.

Same budget. Better spend.

Your ad platforms optimise toward whatever you send them. Send form fills, and they buy form fills. Send verified revenue — including the deals that closed weeks later, offline, or from a channel the pixel never saw — and the bidder starts buying customers instead.

1We record the whole path first-party, so nothing is lost to blockers or stripped UTMs.
2Revenue lands from Stripe and Shopify and gets credited to the touchpoints that actually drove the sale.
3You see the actual ROAS for every campaign, ad set, and search query in a single dashboard.
4Reallocate on margin. Shift spend from campaigns that look good on pixel data but produce zero revenue to the ones that pay.
Google AdsMeta AdsLinkedInTikTok EventsStripeShopify

Calculations are illustrative. Budget optimization is managed within your ad accounts using attribution data from your SourceTrack dashboard.

Your numbers

What is your blind spend actually costing you?

Blocked cookies, iOS restrictions and stripped UTMs are the usual causes. If you don’t know your number, 30–40% is the range most teams land in once they measure it.

Spend optimised on blind data$3,200/mo
Reallocatable once revenue is credited$1,440/mo
Over a year$17,280

Arithmetic, not a forecast: spend × missed share, then the portion typically sitting behind channels that look flat because their revenue was credited elsewhere. Your budget doesn’t change — where it goes does.

Who it's for

Built for how your growth team actually measures success.

A signed case, a bound policy, a booked tour, and a trial signup are all “conversions.” SourceTrack ships with the channel groupings, conversion types, and cost-per metrics each one needs.

FAQ

The questions that come up every time.

The objections that come up on every call, answered plainly. Still stuck on something specific? The comparison page goes deeper on how this differs from what you are running today.

Do I have to replace GA4?

No, and most teams don't. Keep it for traffic volume. SourceTrack runs alongside it and answers the question GA4 was never built for: which channel produced revenue.

Do I need to rebuild my forms?

No. One script tag goes in your head, then you connect the tools you already use. Nothing gets rebuilt, and existing form submissions keep working while the source rides along.

What about visitors with no UTMs?

That's the majority of real traffic. We use referrer data, click IDs, landing-page patterns, and known AI and answer-engine referrers to classify sessions that arrive untagged.

How is AI assistant traffic identified?

Assistants and answer engines almost always arrive with no UTM and no ad click, so the referrer is the only signal there is. We match it against 16 named assistants and answer engines on arrival, and keep that source attached to the visitor for the rest of the journey.

How long does setup take?

One script tag in your head, then connect a form source and watch the first session land.

My CRM already tracks source. Why this?

Your CRM starts watching at the form submit, so everything before it — the ad, the answer engine, the three visits over two weeks — is invisible. SourceTrack records the path that led there.

Is it privacy-safe?

Anonymous ids in first-party localStorage, no third-party cookies, no cross-site fingerprinting. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured on every plan. Cookieless Mode — a setting you enable on a paid plan — writes nothing to the visitor's device at all.

The difference

The same lead, twice.

One version is what your CRM records today. The other is the same person after SourceTrack has been running for a month — no extra forms, no extra fields for your reps to fill in.
